Start with the steam duty
Specify the required steam flow at normal and peak conditions. Include operating pressure, steam temperature, saturated or superheated duty, operating hours, and start-up demand. A nameplate capacity alone does not describe the process load.
Confirm the site utilities
Provide the fuel type, fuel composition or calorific value, available gas pressure, electrical supply and feed-water temperature. Water quality, blowdown requirements and condensate return affect system design and operating costs.
Define the complete supply scope
A boiler quotation should state whether burners, feed-water equipment, water treatment, economizers, condensers, controls and commissioning support are included. Confirm local regulations and inspection documentation before ordering.
